The valley is mostly a grassy steppe void of any large plant life aside from the occasional shrub. Here, large herding animals can be picked off, like deer, elk, caribou, and bison. Smaller animals like rabbits, coyotes, and foxes are also common, though one should be wary of the presence of mountain lions and bears who also visit the area to feed
